How it works

A digital layer over your physical space.

Placenet gives every place its own digital environment. The organisation decides what is offered in each area, to each profile and at each moment, and people receive it on their phones while they are there.

Digital layer Physical space
The journey

In four steps.

STEP 1

You define your places

Define your digital domains.

Every place you define has its own digital domain, anchored to its location. You draw its boundary on the map and, inside it, the zones you want to behave differently.

A domain can be

A cityA parkA venueA buildingA floorA roomA stageAn information point

Large or small, together or apart, nested inside one another or each on its own.

STEP 2

You define the experience

Add content and tools.

You open a zone and add what it needs: text, content, Placenet apps or the tools you already use. No technical knowledge required.

STEP 3

You decide who sees what

Personalise by role.

You create your roles and decide what each one sees in each zone.

  • Roles tailored to you: citizen, visitor, member, VIP, staff… as many as you like.
  • A person can have one or several roles.
  • Every zone and every tool, only for whoever you decide.
STEP 4

They come in through a single access point

With a QR code or from an app.

People always come in through the same access point, whatever the channel. Placenet recognises where they are and who they are, and shows them what is relevant to them.

Analytics

And all of it, with valuable data.

You know how many people are in each zone at any moment, what gets used most, what people ask the AI and which alerts and reports come in. Data tied to places and moments, not just downloads.

Try it yourself

Move around a place.
Your phone changes by itself.

Nobody taps anything: as you move from one zone to another, the phone shows what fits that space, that role and that moment. Try it in two example settings: a concert hall and a neighbourhood.

  • MoveEnter another zone and the phone changes by itself.
  • Switch roleAudience, VIP, resident…: everyone sees their own.
  • Tap the phoneOrder, book or show your ticket.

Move with the arrow keys or WASD. Example places: names and figures are made up. Best on a computer.

Capabilities

What you can switch on in a place.

Anything digital can be anchored to a place. You decide where it appears, who can access it and how. You can use Placenet's own apps or connect the third-party tools you already have.

Integration

Placenet connects.
It doesn't replace.

Placenet is a connecting technology: it links its own apps with any tool, the one you already use or the one that arrives tomorrow, without changing your systems. And it adds what they lack: the context of the place and a hyper-personalised experience for each person.

  • 01
    It connects with everything

With Placenet apps, with the tools you already use and with those still to come. Your systems stay the same.

  • 02
    Add the context

It knows where, when and for whom: each tool appears in the place and at the moment it’s useful.

  • 03
    Hyper-personalise

Each person sees what’s relevant to them based on their profile, their permissions and where they are.

Privacy and security

Your data is yours.
Always.

People’s privacy comes first. Placenet is useful while you’re in a place and discreet when you leave.

Owned by the client

All information belongs to the organisation that manages the place. Placenet only processes it to provide the service.

Never shared

Data is never passed on to third parties. People can talk to each other without exchanging phone numbers or emails.

Privacy by design

What’s tied to a place is used in that place. Everyone decides what they share and with whom.
